All manuscripts submitted to EAI undergo a double-blind peer review to ensure impartiality and maintain high academic standards. In this process:
- Authors do not know the identity of reviewers.
- Reviewers do not know the identity of authors.
- Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based solely on its scientific quality, originality, clarity, and relevance.
Upon submission, the editorial team conducts an initial screening to verify:
- Compliance with the journal’s submission guidelines and template.
- Adherence to ethical standards, including plagiarism checks.
- Completeness of the manuscript and required declarations (e.g., conflicts of interest, authorship, ethics statements).
Reviewers assess manuscripts based on:
- Originality and significance of the research.
- Methodological rigor and data validity.
- Clarity of presentation and logical structure.
- Proper use of references and adherence to the journal’s citation style.
- Relevance to the journal’s scope in economics and applied informatics.
Reviewers are expected to:
- Provide constructive, unbiased, and timely feedback.
- Declare any conflicts of interest and decline review if necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript and supporting materials.
Based on reviewers’ reports, the Editor-in-Chief may decide to:
- Accept the manuscript as submitted.
- Request revisions (minor or major).
- Reject the manuscript if it does not meet the journal’s standards.
Authors are encouraged to carefully address all reviewers’ comments when revising the manuscript. A detailed response outlining the changes made should accompany the revised submission.
The review process is designed to be efficient and transparent, typically completed within 6–8 weeks from submission. Authors are notified promptly of editorial decisions.
If authors disagree with a decision, they may submit a formal appeal to the Editor-in-Chief. The appeal will be reviewed impartially, and additional expert opinions may be sought.
